The Sloane Boots

Three different people at work wanted to know where these were from so here they are with jeans and a plain tee, which is how I wear them most days. They sit just under the knee on me and the fold has settled in nicely.

Sat on the porch with these in my hands before putting them on because the colour comes alive in sunshine in a way the indoor photos do not show. Warm, a bit golden, with darker shading at the toe and the heel. They are even better on.

Stood on the back deck with a coffee before work and thought I may as well show what they look like on. The shaft folds right where it should and the strap sits across the top of the foot without digging in. Three weeks in now and they have only got more comfortable.

Took the photo the second they arrived because i could not wait. the one in my hand is the new pair and the first pair is by the bench behind me. same size, same fit, no difference between them which is what you want when you reorder

They came in a mailer and I had them out and on my feet before I had even taken my coat off, which is why the photo is of them sat on the carpet next to the packaging. The slouch is already in them, no stiff upright shaft to break down. Colour is spot on with the website.

Fit right, arrived quickly, look exactly like the pictures and have been comfortable from the first day. There is nothing I would change about them.

Perfectly comfortable for a few hours and then I start to feel it. I have put a support insole in and that has fixed it completely. Everything else, the fit, the look, the zip, is spot on.

Genuinely. I have worn them more than every other pair of shoes I own put together since they arrived. Comfortable, well made, and they look better every week.

Wiped down with a damp cloth and they come straight back, and the darker patches in the finish hide a multitude of sins. The one thing is the stitched channel round the sole, which has packed with grit that I cannot get out however hard I go at it. Minor, but it is the only mark against them.

The boot itself is well made and comfortable and I have no issue with the fit. The sole is smooth though, and on a wet pavement or a tiled floor I have had a couple of moments. I will get them gripped but I should not have to. Three stars for that reason only.

I have the khaki and the grey now and wear them about equally. The grey is cooler toned and goes with more of my winter things, the khaki is the one I reach for with jeans. Same size in both and yet the grey is noticeably tighter through the shaft, so do not assume the second pair will fit identically.

Not one hot spot anywhere, not at the heel, not across the toe, not at the top of the shaft where tall boots usually get me. Walked four miles on the first wear with no trouble at all.

straight leg, bootcut, even a slightly baggy pair, all of them go in without a battle. the shaft has real room in it. ive never had a tall boot that managed that before

On and off four times a day thanks to the zip. Warm, dry, comfortable, and smart enough that I do not feel scruffy if I end up somewhere else afterwards. Exactly what I wanted them for.

I was half expecting to be disappointed at this end of the market and I was not. The seams are straight, the zip is proper, the sole is stitched and glued rather than just glued. They feel like they will last.

My old tall boots finally gave up after six years and I was dreading finding a replacement. These are closer to what I lost than anything else I tried, and more comfortable from day one than those ever were.

which is not a given with a brown boot. theres enough grey in the tone that it doesnt clash. i wear a lot of black and these are the only brown boots ive ever managed to make work with it

They have a bit of weight to them which I noticed on a long day out. Not uncomfortable, just more substantial than I expected from how they look. Everything else about them is excellent and I wear them constantly.

Measured my foot before ordering and went with my usual, which was right. There is a little room at the toe which I want for winter socks. No slipping at the heel either.

i nearly ordered a plain tall boot instead and id have regretted it. the strap and the punched detail are what make people look twice. still simple enough to wear every day though

Writing this so nobody else does what I did. My browser had my old address saved and I clicked straight through without reading it, so the parcel went to a place I moved out of in March. Completely my own doing. By the time I worked out where it had gone it had been sitting in a hallway for a fortnight and whoever has it now is not answering. I emailed Westerline and they were nothing but helpful, they even dug out the tracking history for me so I could chase it. One star is me being honest about how the order went for me, not a mark against them. I have reordered and triple checked the address this time.

Not a sentence I expected to type. There is real cushioning under the ball of the foot and the shape of the heel means you are not straining anywhere. I did eleven thousand steps in them on Saturday.

Faster than I expected given the estimate. Tracking updated the whole way through. Boots were well packed and the shafts were not squashed. Fit perfectly in my usual size.

I run a shop and I am on a hard floor from nine until five. These are the only heeled boot I own that I can do a full day in. The heel is set under you properly rather than out behind.

It means you dont see it from the outside at all, the boot just looks like a pull on. and because its there you can get them off at the end of the day without sitting on the floor fighting with them

Wet grass, a gravel track, standing round a fire for an evening. They came home muddy, I wiped them off and they looked fine. Comfortable enough that I never thought about my feet all weekend.

A scuff on a kerb left a lighter patch that took some rubbing to blend back in. It did eventually go. Given the finish is meant to look weathered it is hardly a disaster, but worth knowing they are not indestructible.

Not a lot of tall boots let you do that without a lump. These are shaped close at the ankle so a legging or a thin jean disappears straight in. Comfortable all day too.

My mother has them, I have them, and my daughter has just ordered the grey. Three generations and none of us has a complaint. That is about as good a recommendation as I can give.
